New York City Mission Trip Day 4

Day 4 here in New York was another great day. We were able to spend a couple of hours in the morning seeing New York from some different persepctives, as well as seeing the 9/11 Memorial. It is a moving experience to view the memorial, and think about how the events of 9/11 have changed this city, as well as the world. Throughout the day, we encountered many West Africans, and we were able to share the Gospel with them and give them a DVD of the Jesus Film in their own language. This afternoon, in Harlem, we spoke with many people, sharing the Gospel with them. Many people were open, yet we also experienced some who had no willingness to speak to us about spiritual matters. Many of the people we have spoken with are Muslim, and while they are very friendly and nice to talk to, they are also opposed to the idea that Jesus is the Son of God, who has come, died for our sins, and rose again. As we speak with people, we are praying that God will work in their hearts in the way that only He can. Prayer: -pray for energy for the team members. It can be draining to spend all day walking and interacting with people. -pray for direction each day, and for hearts to be softened and ready to hear the gospel -pray for God to continue to empower and bless the churches here in NYC to be the light of the world, sharing Christ with their community. -pray for the missionaries we are working with, that God would continue to bless their ministry and encourage and strengthen them. Thanks for your prayers!
